Are you a skilled Cyber Security professional with a passion for safeguarding digital environments? Symanto is seeking a dedicated and experienced Cyber Security Manager to lead our IT security landscape in our office in Nuremberg!

As our Cyber Security Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and enhancing the security of our entire IT ecosystem. With 90% of our infrastructure hosted on Azure cloud and the remaining on-premises, we are looking for a security professional who can ensure the integrity, confidentiality, and safety of our digital assets. 

Main tasks:

• Develop, implement, and maintain Symanto’s overall cyber security strategy.
• Oversee security for both Azure cloud infrastructure and on-premises servers.
• Monitor security logs and events using Azure-native tools, on-premises solutions, and SIEM platforms like Microsoft Sentinel.
• Conduct regular security assessments and vulnerability scans across all environments.
• Implement and manage security features for Azure (e.g., Azure Security Center, Azure AD) and on-premises systems
• Lead the company's ISO 27001 compliance efforts: Attend ISO 27001 audits, ensure proper implementation of required controls and maintain compliance documentation.
• Respond to and investigate security incidents.
• Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations beyond ISO 27001.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest cyber security trends, cloud security features, and on-premises security best practices.
• Train and educate Symanto’s employees on security best practices.
• Collaborate with IT and other departments to integrate security measures into all aspects of the business.

Education, Required Skills, and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Experience with risk management, incident response, and security compliance, including:
• At least 3 years focused on cloud security (preferably Azure).
• Experience with on-premises server security.
• Familiarity with ISO 27001 framework and audits.
• Strong knowledge of Azure security features and best practices.
• Strong knowledge of Windows Domain security features and best practices.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 security features and best practices.
• Experience with SIEM solutions, particularly Microsoft Sentinel.
• Familiarity with log collection and analysis in both cloud and on-premises environments.
• Strong analytical and excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to security challenges.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Leadership experience in managing security teams or projects.

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Knowledge of scripting languages (PowerShell, Python) for automation.
• Experience with DevSecOps practices and tools.
• Experience with Netwrix Auditor
• Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, Azure Security Engineer, ISO 27001 Lead Implementer, or equivalent are a plus.
• Additional certifications like CEH, CCSP, or CRISC.
